Package: unattended-upgrades Version: 0.72.1ubuntu1 Severity: minor For some archives, space-separation is insufficient, i.e. when the origin or archive name contains a space. Fortunately, colon separators are now supported for this case.
Hence, changing the default /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/50unattended-upgrades to read (origin:archive) rather than (origin, archive), which is rather misleading as a comma separator is not supported AFAIK, and also to use this format for the default entries, would make it much clearer to the user how to proceed when a space-containing origin or archive is used. Altering the README to mention colon-separation would also be nice. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers natty-updates APT policy: (500, 'natty-updates'), (500, 'natty-security'), (500, 'natty') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.38-8-generic (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages unattended-upgrades depends on: ii apt 0.8.13.2ubuntu3 Advanced front-end for dpkg ii apt-utils 0.8.13.2ubuntu3 APT utility programs ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.36ubuntu4 Debian configuration management sy ii lsb-release 4.0-0ubuntu11 Linux Standard Base version report ii python 2.7.1-0ubuntu5 interactive high-level object-orie ii python-apt 0.7.100.3ubuntu6.1 Python interface to libapt-pkg ii ucf 3.0025+nmu1ubuntu1 Update Configuration File: preserv unattended-upgrades recommends no packages.
