I tried to connect grip to my mp3-mysql-db generated by ddj, but the mysql-server is running on an other computer but 100 % accessable by tcp/ip. I belive there is no possiblity to tell grip to connect to the db over tcp/ip and use a password , like it is possible with the ddj-programm, isn't it? After a short look to the source of grip, I belive that grip only tries to connect to a mysql-server via the PID of the mysql-server, and this is only working when the mysql-server runs on the local machine.
