Sorry, Jonas, I this advice is IMHO crap and not related to the actual bug report at all.

If morituri fails to run with specificversions of the python runtime, then this should be documented somewhere in the packaging, e.g. using X-Python-Version in debian/control, see <http://www.debian.org/doc/packaging-manuals/python-policy/ch-module_packages.html#s-specifying_versions>.
