Package: gtkpod Version: 2.0.2-1 On the actual unstable release, the issue is not reproducible. I've tried few times launching the program from a terminal, attaching my iPod Mini in different ways, but none of the tries gave me the error you reported.
Before closing the bug report, could you possibly test this version? It's going to migrate to testing in two days (if everything is ok).
