Package: fglrx-driver Version: 11-6-1 Severity: normal --- Please enter the report below this line. ---
Right after an "apt-get -t experimental install fglrx-driver fglrx-control..." etc to get the newest 11-6, X doesn't seem to find the fglrx driver anymore (I'm assuming it's the glx driver, since the fglrx kernel module is regularly loaded). Here's the snippet from the Xorg.log [ 24.917] (II) LoadModule: "fglrx" [ 24.961] (WW) Warning, couldn't open module fglrx [ 24.961] (II) UnloadModule: "fglrx" [ 24.961] (II) Unloading fglrx [ 24.961] (EE) Failed to load module "fglrx" (module does not exist, 0) [ 24.961] (EE) No drivers available. Also, I thought that the use of glx-alternative-fglrx glx-alternative-mesa etc for the diversions was done so that one could switch between fglrx and mesa with an update-alternatives. However all I get from update-alternatives --list glx is "mesa-diverted" instead of the two alternatives (as opposed to, say, update-alternatives --list gnome-www-browser where I get epiphany-browser and iceweasel as alternatives).
