Package: ntp-simple Version: 1:4.2.0a+stable-2sarge1 Followup-For: Bug #307460
I don't have much more to report besides what Bas said, except to confirm that I had the same problem. Using a hostname with an AAAA and an A record causes ntpd to dump core; switching to a different hostname with only the same A record, or the IPv4 address itself, everything works fine. My platform is also very different (big-endian, sparc, 2.4, vs little-endian, x86, 2.6). -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 Architecture: sparc Kernel: Linux 2.4.27-2-sparc32 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages ntp-simple depends on: ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-22 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libssl0.9.7 0.9.7e-3 SSL shared libraries ii ntp-server 1:4.2.0a+stable-2sarge1 Network Time Protocol: common serv -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
