Does this happen with all messages or only with a special one? Can you send me a message ID or a posting that crashes slrn? Does slrn crash when you run it from a terminal, too? > Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. > __strlen_sse2 () at ../sysdeps/x86_64/multiarch/../strlen.S:32 > 32 ../sysdeps/x86_64/multiarch/../strlen.S: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht > gefunden. > in ../sysdeps/x86_64/multiarch/../strlen.S > (gdb) where > #0 __strlen_sse2 () at ../sysdeps/x86_64/multiarch/../strlen.S:32 Maybe it's a bug that shows up after change that memcpy can walk backward; see /usr/share/doc/libc6/NEWS.Debian.gz. Does slrn crash, when you call it this way: LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc/memcpy-syslog-preload.so /usr/bin/slrn Bye, Jörg. -- “Too bad that all the people who know how to run the country are busy driving taxicabs and cutting hair.” -- George Burns, Life magazine, 1979
