The following link (http://wiki.debian.org/pata_marvell) deals with the issue in debian lenny. I tried it and it works also with my squeeze kernel, 2.6.32-5-amd64. So, I do not know if bug report should be closed, if it it is a workaround, if it is really a solution. Big shot guys decide it. In any case, the default initrd shipped with debian and its updates are not ready to use for people using an external sata drive because of this issue with the marvell controller. Greatings.
