Package: ocaml-compiler-libs Version: 3.12.0-7 Severity: minor *** Please type your report below this line ***
ocaml-compiler-libs installs outcometree.{cmi, mli} at /usr/lib/ocaml/compiler-libs/typing while ocaml-nox (which is a dependency for ocaml-compiler-libs) installs the same files at /usr/lib/ocaml. The result is a warning message when compiling any ocaml module that adds the compiler-libs/typing path to the compiler search path. For example (when using ocamlfind): findlib: [WARNING] Interface outcometree.cmi occurs in several directories: /usr/lib/ocaml, /usr/lib/ocaml/compiler-libs/typing Since the duplicate files are bit-for-bit identical (at least on x86_64), removing them from the ocaml-compiler-libs package should prevent the warning message from appearing without having any other side-effects. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing'), (100, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.38-2-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_AU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages ocaml-compiler-libs depends on: ii ocaml-nox [ocaml-nox-3.12.0] 3.12.0-7 ML implementation with a class-bas ocaml-compiler-libs recommends no packages. ocaml-compiler-libs suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
