The bootchart2 README recommends adding commands to /boot/grub/menu.lst to activate bootchart2. However, grub2 uses a dynamic /boot/grub/grub.cfg built from configuration snippets in /etc/grub.d Bootchart2 should add a file into this directory allowing kernels to be booted with bootchart2 enabled. (It would probably look something like 10_linux, but with some extra logic added to set init=/sbin/bootchart bootchart_init=$original_init). - -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.39-2-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages bootchart2 depends on: ii libc6 2.13-7 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib Versions of packages bootchart2 recommends: ii pybootchartgui 0.14.0-3 viewer for boot process performanc bootchart2 suggests no packages. - -- no debconf information -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.11 (GNU/Linux) iQIcBAEBCgAGBQJN97L7AAoJEKB7YbRsd8TGDy8P/3QTg8++VYiFE4q1nRhWCO8g zaSr8IxhAkO50mW/lcRPA4d2Vx/1oMXwOr/ShgS2CpqDPuOEydDfBCdZtPrRabJW t6Xj9kCD+2mJHtWMZ8fPBTpD6fnNy5+NUkfVKDiZLgfFpAyIB3H4tGzL6VayZcYX 6YCnUbjs6zpaXBGmSrtjdI8CM/2yIn8qG5TumQaJYLZp9mywnL6jBW8S4hRwR4au JqZCfUaDjInQ0YWUZ+lIFRuT7JwH7QIGFgMan3pzVSf1CavQC+BzE8yI6PUJPReg 22gtEv/VxRhvqoVD034FOx6omRW5UFIXagy27IPrLdRss6gI7iIqyjawDOkF0BYU z2iVARykQXlghbd2ACW9J97yyEtEGZA5n1UUx1T7PfbZeZ4gj4AEJnuPsW7owo2E lWocXnHISYlWa+msxzyuoOfsdsOITTD7xdEEZaEpXu4QP07fvhiufTvuqNJ9lOSx vzcQ70sk1wjeG++Z7TuMfItpoNc8/f8eHlYm8o1gK8hvYEYeSzqqjSHdxLJdpFs2 HUyWNivdl607dromIkNGouyN5uV7DYAbBXkShKAA/b54by1zx4aZ7M3wKjmOWSAE 1ORtB0WtIk2LtVLdwCiaWphyZmSoXI1qCQxX3vLsG+XzFTfazcO+b/gK94mpeJfV Cc2Pm9ILI7QduQt3XP5B =bNTb -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
