Dear Michael, r-cran-vcd builds fine in a Debian chroot. While it does not depend on r-cran-mass directly, this package is pulled by other R packages. I will nevertheless add r-cran-mass to the build dependancies in the update to the latest upstream release, which I will upload soon. By the way, I looked for r-cran-vcd in your PPA and could not find it. Do not hesitate to include a link to your build logs in your future reports.
