Please find attached the requested dmidecode dump. Hopefully that
helps coming up with an alternative detection method although from
what I can see the dump does not look too promising (maybe some OEM
field).

BTW, the patch at [1] (or an equivalent) will be necessary even f you
come up with an alternative detection method as the newer ThinkPads do
not seem to support setting start thresholds, which caused setting the
stop thresholds to fail.
