Hi, if this method should not be used, then it should not be recommended in the documentation.
The patch I have attached here modified also the document recommending this static method. Those references should be removed then from tao/docs/configuration.html. However, the document does not describe any other way of doing same things in source code level, but other option is a separate svc.conf file.
