Package: git-buildpackage Version: 0.5.23 Severity: normal I have to import upstream tarball from unpacked directory, because it's distributed as a zip archive. git-import-orig accepts the --filter option and even says that it's filtering files, but it doesn't. I see that this option is in fact just passed to tar --excludes; it should be better handled (either properly documented and stop when --filter is used with a dir, or - better yet - make it work).
