The mount package is not taking care of filesystem specific options. I
don't think its maintainer will be happy to change that.

e2fsprogs would be the right package to report it against. It looks like
the next release of e2fsprogs after 1.41.14 will have what you want btw
it's already committed in upstream's git repository.
