Any progress on this? Upstream also seems to be little maintained, the latest rp-pppoe release (3.10) is almost 3 years old now.
I'm using the PPPoE server in kernel mode (updated to 3.10, and rebuilt with a few patches I found floating around) for a small local WISP. It works, but right now I have a fairly simple setup (just chap-secrets to set a static IPv4 address for each customer, no IPv6 and no RADIUS), and I'm not sure if it will be up to the task in the future, or will it be better to move to Mikrotik Routerboard (power-saving reasons too).
