I just got hit by this same bug; even with
export DEBIAN_FRONTEND=noninteractive
and no STDIN, xmcd's install script would keep asking for a CDDB server,
filling up the system disk because these messages were redirected to a
log file. :-( Anybody know why the existing patch hasn't made it to sarge?
