Package: nut Version: 2.0.2-1 Severity: important UPS connected to /dev/ttyS0 doesn't shutdown when the system is running on low battery. I have a contact closure UPS - dtr - power line - when the system is closing the upsdrvctl is killed. After killing dtr becomes 0 logic state. The UPS interface is now not powered so the communication is not possible.
After "sending all processess KILL signal" the upsdrvctl is run with shutdown parameter: upsdrvctl shutdown That doesn't work now because there is no upsdrvctl running. After remounting filesystem readonly upsdrvctl cannot be starded anymore So my proposition is to insert "upsdrvctl start" after sendsigs and before remounting root filesystem readonly. After that little modification UPS shutdowns OK. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Kernel: Linux 2.6.12.2 Locale: LANG=pl_PL, LC_CTYPE=pl_PL (charmap=ISO-8859-2) (ignored: LC_ALL set to pl_PL) Versions of packages nut depends on: ii adduser 3.67 Add and remove users and groups ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.4.57 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.3.5-4 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an nut recommends no packages. -- debconf information: nut/major_conf_changes: nut/2_0_upstream_changes: nut/change_system_user: nut/major_upstream_changes: nut/remove_debian_conf: -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
