severity 454537 normal tags 454537 wontfix thanks According to comments in the upstream bug report, it's not possible to use this function in a machine-independent way, so unless a pure-ruby implementation is provided, they can't add this feature.
In the same comment it's recommended to use bind parameters, which provide an alternative way to securely pass data to sqlite3.
