The change - while is trivial in upstream commit, requires some piece of infrastructure preparations, to support "no_hotplug'gable" device attribute and to "qdevify" one of piix4 subdevices (qdev is a new device model of qemu). Redhat did the backports (6 patches in total), but I don't like how they did it - they simplified things too much to my taste.
