Package: scid Version: 1:4.2.2.cvs20100202-2
Okay, I understand a bit better now how all this is supposed to work. But I am still confused about the status of the external tools required to fetch games by Xfcc (and maybe other protocols). It seems that the internal Xfcc code in scid does more than fetch the PGN files to the Inbox; it also retrieves information like "is it my move?" and "how much time do I have left for this move?" So in order to emulate all this with an external script for a server that doesn't do native Xfcc (as my server doesn't, unfortunately), I would have to understand how this extra information is stored and handled, which doesn't seem to be documented. The documentation seems to imply a reference external script is provided (Xfcc-Receive.pl), but I could not find this file anywhere; it certainly isn't in the Debian source tree for scid. In desperation I'm thinking of setting up a proxy Xfcc server :-P -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0.1 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.38.6git (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages scid depends on: ii libc6 2.11.2-10 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libgcc1 1:4.4.5-8 GCC support library ii libstdc++6 4.4.5-8 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libx11-6 2:1.3.3-4 X11 client-side library ii oss-compat 0.0.4+nmu3 OSS compatibility package ii python 2.6.6-3+squeeze6 interactive high-level object-orie ii tcl8.5 8.5.8-2 Tcl (the Tool Command Language) v8 ii tk8.5 8.5.8-1 Tk toolkit for Tcl and X11, v8.5 - ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.4.dfsg-3 compression library - runtime Versions of packages scid recommends: ii libsnack2-alsa [libsnac 2.2.10-dfsg1-9 Sound extension to Tcl/Tk and Pyth ii tdom 0.8.3~20080525-3 A fast XML/DOM/XPath/XSLT extensio ii texlive-games 2009-10 TeX Live: Games typesetting Versions of packages scid suggests: pn crafty <none> (no description available) pn glaurung <none> (no description available) pn phalanx <none> (no description available) ii scid-rating-data 200901-2 contains spelling corrections and ii stockfish 1.8.0-4 strong chess engine, to play chess pn toga2 <none> (no description available) -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
