Based on https://buildd.debian.org/status/logs.php?pkg=chromium-browser&arch=powerpc https://buildd.debian.org/status/logs.php?pkg=libv8&arch=powerpc and http://code.google.com/p/chromium/wiki/MacBuildInstructions it looks like it doesn't build from source on ppc, so I'm afraid more work would be required.
