Package: scim
Version: 1.4.9-6
Severity: normal

Hello,

I believe I am seeing the same bug, manifesting itself in several ways.
For one, many applications will randomly lose keyboard focus, and only
regain it after focus is switched to another window and back. I believe
using the gtk2-immodule fixes this, but I will need several more days to
confirm.
I also found a dialog in claws-mail that would flatly refuse keyboard
input if the input method was set to XIM. To reproduce, start
claws-mail, click on Tools-> Address book-> Book-> New Book.
In the dialog that opens, right-click and set Input Methods to X Input
Method. Notice that the text field will ignore keypresses, but happily
accept pastes. Now set the Input Method to anything else. Notice how
suddenly you can type again.

Regards,
Daniel
