Package: pppoe
Version: 3.8-3
Severity: normal

When one manages a PPPoE (and, more generally, a PPP) link through
ifupdown, e.g. like that in /etc/network/interfaces:

iface ppp-wan inet ppp
      provider dsl-provider

When one does "ifup ppp-wan", the scripts in /etc/netword/if-up.d are
run before the IP link is up. Adding the "updetach" option seems to
fix that, so please add "updetach" to the example file the package
puts in /etc/ppp/peers/dsl-provider .
