Deep apologies: you got no followup to this bug report. We apparently missed it when it was sent (as an excuse, that was during DebConf 10 where it's more difficult to catchup with mail and one tend to just hit "read" on mailboxes). Do you still experience this bug with the Recycle VFS module in squeeze (that is, with version 3.5.6). If you do, could you try setting the log level to 10 and as soon as possible after doign this, try putting a file in the Recycler from a workstation? Ideally, if you could activate the very high log level just before doing the operation, then stop samba afterwards, that could minimize the size of the log file. Really, apologies again for this very long answering delay.
