I can confirm this problem in kubuntu natty + updates (libreoffice 1:3.3.2-1ubuntu4).
René, I can not confirm Base being useless for anything serious. We use base in the office for some serious applications as a front end to postgresql (sdbc driver) and it works actually very nicely. I also use it at home for some stuff as a front end to mysql (native driver). So thank you for this! I also tried the built-in hsql database, and in the current version I must admit it is very slow (like when viewing a table about 2 records per second will appear). But I have been reading reports that this might depend on my jre (openjdk). Personally I never liked java As mentioned earlier this problem seems to be specific to at least the debian/ubuntu versions, and does not appear under windows XP. Currently it is impossible to modify a form, so unless you get the form right using the wizard the first time, yeah, it's pretty useless now. If you can fix this, we owe you a beer :-) Ferry
