Package: liblucene2-java Version: 2.9.3+ds1-1 Severity: normal Tags: squeeze
We had a problem with our solr server, cf. https://support.mayfirst.org/ticket/4132 The SOLR-822 made it impossible to search for anything containing a dot (dates, version numbers, etc.). We resolved the issue by backporting solr-tomcat (which is not in squeeze any more) and liblucene2-java. The latter version in wheezy contains Apache Lucene 2.9.3 which solves lots of bugs compared to the version packaged for squeeze which contains Apache Lucene 2.9.2. So I'd like to ask you to officially backport liblucene2-java to squeeze. The package solr-tomcat would be very nice to have, too, as Solr is the future of Drupal. :-) Yours, Ferdinando -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers natty-updates APT policy: (500, 'natty-updates'), (500, 'natty-security'), (500, 'natty') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.38-8-generic-pae (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages liblucene2-java depends on: ii default-jre-headles 1:1.6-40ubuntu1 Standard Java or Java compatible R ii openjdk-6-jre-headl 6b22-1.10.1-0ubuntu1 OpenJDK Java runtime, using Hotspo ii sun-java6-jre [java 6.24-1build0.10.10.1 Sun Java(TM) Runtime Environment ( Versions of packages liblucene2-java recommends: ii libcommons-beanutils-jav 1.8.3-1 utility for manipulating JavaBeans ii libcommons-collections3- 3.2.1-4 A set of abstract data type interf ii libcommons-compress-java 1.0-1 Java API for working with tar, zip ii libcommons-digester-java 1.8.1-2 Rule based XML Java object mapping ii libcommons-logging-java 1.1.1-8 commmon wrapper interface for seve ii libdb-je-java 3.3.62-3 Oracle Berkeley Database Java Edit pn libdb4.7-java <none> (no description available) ii libicu4j-java 4.0.1.1-1 Library for unicode support and in ii libjline-java 0.9.94-5 Java library for handling console ii libjtidy-java 7+svn20070309-4 a Java port of HTML Tidy, a HTML s ii libregexp-java 1.5-2 Regular expression library for Jav liblucene2-java suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
