I had an upgrade of network-manager-gnome at the same time as awesome the other day. However, I can't find a direct relationship between nm and the spaces: * as I told you in the other messages, it seems to display a xfpm tooltip somehow ; * if I kill nm-applet, the spaces stay ; * if I kill xfpm, the spaces disappear. I will try to install xfce4 and see if I can reproduce the problem there. If you have other random ideas that I can test, feel free to ask. My free space on my HDD is very limited though (I'm running a eeePC with a drive of 4GB).
