Hi, i am offering packaging changes for mantis 1.2.4 i have prepared ~2 months ago.
I was trying to contact Silvia Alvarez via email a few times but without any luck. Additionaly i have wrongly understooded to the message from the the Debian-Mentors list where i was asking for some help (see http://lists.debian.org/debian-mentors/2011/02/msg00402.html for details). So finally now i am trying this way as suggested (i am new to debian packaging ... ). You can find the git patch series on the http://caladan.vpsfree.cz/debian/ page. There are two archives: 1. mantis-1.2.4-debian.tar.bz2 is the patches of the changes made to the 'debian' directory 2. mantis-1.2.4.tar.bz2 contains full patches of the whole directory Feel free to use them. I do not suppose it is ready to be included directly, but at least it is working so someone more informed may update them to meet all of the requirements. There are still some TODOs left: * fix patches numbering * update 'TestingNewRelease' file * prepare usable changelog Testing done: * tested ONLY using MySQL * successfully re-checked installation (applicable test cases from the 'TestingNewRelease' file) after: a) clean 1.2.4 install from the .deb file b) upgrade of the clean 1.1.8 -> 1.2.4 using .deb files c) upgrade of the used (~200MB DB dump) 1.1.8 -> 1.2.4 using .deb files * ensured that the DB structure from a) and b) is the same * used my original 1.1.8 DB dump to run the upgrade from 1.1.8 to 1.2.4 using: a) upstream's packages b) prepared .deb file * and ensured DBs are matching I hope it will help someone.
