Package: dovecot-imapd
Version: 1:2.0.12-1
Severity: important

After installing the latest version of dovecot and going through the usual pain
to upgrade the config files, I'm now seeing:
  May  9 12:54:03 wombat dovecot: imap(username): Error: setegid(privileged)
failed: Operation not permitted
when I try to move a mail from INBOX (mbox format in /var/mail) to
a different mailbox. And the mail item is not moved.

This is the contents of /etc/dovecot/local.conf
Apart from that the configuration is now exactly as installed by the
Debian package.

first_valid_uid = 100
mail_location = mbox:~/MAIL/:INBOX=/var/mail/%u:INDEX=/var/indices/%u
mail_full_filesystem_access = yes
mail_privileged_group=mail

$ ls -ld /var/mail
drwxrwsr-x 2 root mail 4096 May  9 13:06 /var/mail
$ ls -l /var/mail
total 254012
