I don't mind if libvirt does its own logging by default, and inserts its own timestamps there. But IMO there SHOULD be an option to use syslog(3) and rely on syslog's internal timestamping ability, because I already have centralized logging and reporting infrastructure built around syslog, and every daemon that tries to be "helpful" by reinventing that means more effort for me to workaround that.
