Package: qemu Severity: important I created a Debian 6 VM using libvirt/qemu/kvm on a Debian 6 host.
After switching the video device to 'vmvga' I noticed random hard locks (about once a day) in the VM. Once this happens you can not even shutdown/destroy the VM using the 'virsh' command. I had to reboot the host to get the VM back up. I have since switched to the 'xen' video device ('cirrus' is too low resolution and 'vga' is too slow) and have been stable ever since. -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0.1 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
