Package: couchdb Version: 0.11.0-2.3 Followup-For: Bug #573061 Hi, I just wanted to make sure it's known that this change is useful for some of us who are not interested in gwibber too.
I tried gwibber on debian unstable, and it was amazingly buggy. I've been experimenting with desktopcouch, and made some fun little scripts, using curl, python-couchdb, and node.js (with the node-cradle plugin.) I've now got my e-mail lookup script (a mutt callback) and my timetracking database in desktopcouch. It's a bummer that installing desktopcouch auto-starts a system couchdb server, as it is unlikely to be used by someone installing desktopcouch or something (like the new gwibber) that uses desktopcouch. I'm assuming that the/a point of this wishlist/bug is to fix this. Sorry if I'm wrong and barking up the wrong tree. Oh, also a progress update would be lovely, if you have a sec. No rush.
