I am. As we discussed on IRC, this change was requested by GNOME French l10n team. At the moment they made it, I wasn't very convinced by their arguments (they use iso-codes to build languages lists here or there in GNOME and they wanted such list to have leading capitals)...but, on the other hand, that was one of the very first wide use of iso-codes, so it was kind of difficult to deny such request. Still, I'm not comfortable about not following the rules of French typography and your argument about Debian website using iso-codes convinced me. iso-codes originated in Debian and I put a little more value in these needs, particuylarly when they're in agreement with "standards". So, I applied your patch to my local copy and will push this as soon as I'm online. You can start working on -3. Good luck, here..:-)
