you could check with mesa packages from sid, or even build mesa from upstream master. There are some explanations there, but there are radeon-related tweaks needed (check options/supported drivers): http://pkg-xorg.alioth.debian.org/howto/build-mesa.html To get a full backtrace, which might help: http://pkg-xorg.alioth.debian.org/howto/use-gdb.html And if mesa master is also affected: http://bugs.freedesktop.org/ Anyway, it's unlikely to be the same issue as the original one, so please file a new bug instead.
