Hi Andrew, looking at http://wiki.debian.org/HALRemoval#hal-less_LXDE, both lxsession and pcmanfm seem to be ported to upower/gvfs/udisks now.
Could the recommends: hal be dropped from the lxde package? Michael -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
