Hi Brandon, Have you run "dpkg-reconfigure wireshark-common"?
By default dumpcap is installed without allowing non-root users to capture packets. Before running dpkg-reconfigure, please remove the non-system wireshark group if there is any. I'll update README.Debian to clarify default behavior.
