Package: apt-build Version: 0.11.10 Followup-For: Bug #315102 I have a mixed stable/testing/sid install composed from many unofficial sources, and whatever I put in my preferences file, apt-build downloads the highest version available (whatever the policy), but correctly tries (and fail) to build the installed version.
