Package: pbuilder Version: 0.199+nmu1ubuntu1 Severity: normal pbuilder(1) mentions a per-user configuration file ${HOME}/.pbuilderrc, but since pbuilder must be run as root, it should probably refer to /root/.pbuilderrc instead. This is especially confusing if run with sudo. Also, it doesn't make much sense to have both /etc/pbuilderrc and /root/.pbuilderrc if it always uses /root/.pbuilderrc. That's just a duplication of /etc/pbuilderrc then. What could be a better option is for pbuilder to check whether SUDO_UID is defined, and then use the real user's home directory.
