cpack in cmake version 2.8.2 produces broken deb-packages that cause
following type of errors:
dpkg: error processing mysoftware.deb (--install):
unable to create `/etc/mysoftware' (while processing
`./etc/mysoftware/mysoftware.conf'): No such file or directory
dpkg-deb: subprocess paste killed by signal (Broken pipe)

This has been acknowledged in upstream and fixed in subsequent versions:
