Package: vlc Version: 1.1.8-1 Severity: serious Justification: FTBFS Hi,
vlc 1.1.8-1 currently FTBFS on hppa, s390 and sparc because of a wrong
build-dependency[1]. The log files[2][3][4] all contain this:

checking for SCHROEDINGER... no
configure: error: Library schroedinger-1.0 >= 1.0.10 needed for
schroedinger was not found

However, vlc 1.1.8-1 currently only depends on libschroedinger-dev
(>=1.0.7). You should probably update the build-dependencies.
Although bumping the bumping the build-dependencies would probably be
the correct solution, it won't solve the problem completely, see [5].
