This is not going to be implemented, there are 5 ways to specify passwords to offlineimap, and we are not going to implement a poorly spec'd 6th. Sorry. ~/.netrc and any other form should work just fine. You could even include a piece of python that evaluates .netrc yourself in the configuration file. (see docs there)
