Since I filed this bug I found several places on the web mentioning that git-svnimport is deprecated. Also I discovered the following in the debian changelog git-core (1:1.5.4~rc0-1) experimental; urgency=low ... * "git svnimport" was removed in favor of "git svn" (closes: #436930, #447325, #447965, #451037). and it was moved to contrib/examples/ and the existing manpage removed. I was mainly considering using git-svnimport because I want to do a one-time import from svn to git and don't care to maintain the ability to import/rebase/etc later and just want the cleanest import I can get. > (Shameless plug: you might also be interested in svn-fe, which indeed > could benefit from packaging, if you are doing a one-time import. > See [1] for details on a rather complicated conversion example.) Looks interesting I'll check it out. -- Matt Taggart tagg...@debian.org -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
