With 2.6.37-2 linux kernel (sid), when X crashes (every day after 1 hours, maybe less, it takes longer if I use only tvtime without pidgin/iceweasel/icedove), the screen go black, my cursor pointer freeze (if I have an arrow, it will stick to the arrow), but I can continue to work. tvtime doesn't work anymore but I can surf and work with vim, gimp, iceweasel, etc...
With 2.6.38-1 linux kernel (sid), now when X crashes (still every day after some period of time), nothing work anymore. The keyboard/screen is frozen, I need to restart manually the computer. With vesa driver, I don't have crash but I can't used tvtime to watch television. ii linux-image-2.6.37-1-686 2.6.37-1 Linux 2.6.37 for modern PCs (crash but partially working) ii linux-image-2.6.37-2-686 2.6.37-2 Linux 2.6.37 for modern PCs (crash but partially working) ii linux-image-2.6.37-trunk-686 2.6.37-1~experimental.1 Linux 2.6.37 for modern PCs (crash but partially working) ii linux-image-2.6.38-1-686 2.6.38-1 Linux 2.6.38 for modern PCs (crash, deep freeze) ii libdrm-intel1 2.4.23-3 Userspace interface to intel-specific kernel DRM services -- runtime ii xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.14.0-4 X.Org X server -- Intel i8xx, i9xx display driver -- Yan Morin Consultant en Logiciel Libre de Progysm prog...@gmail.com http://progysm.com/ 819 499-0616
