I don't believe I have any packages from debian-multimedia.org: the
only non-Debian source in my sources.list and sources.list.d is for
Emacs snapshots.

I am no longer able to reproduce the problem.

Could the problem have been caused because I upgraded the following
packages while Rhythmbox was running?

 [UPGRADE] gstreamer0.10-alsa 0.10.30-1 -> 0.10.32-2
 [UPGRADE] gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad 0.10.19-2.1 -> 0.10.21-4
 [UPGRADE] gstreamer0.10-plugins-base 0.10.30-1 -> 0.10.32-2
 [UPGRADE] gstreamer0.10-plugins-good 0.10.24-1 -> 0.10.28-2
 [UPGRADE] gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly 0.10.15-1 -> 0.10.17-2
 [UPGRADE] gstreamer0.10-pulseaudio 0.10.24-1 -> 0.10.28-2
 [UPGRADE] gstreamer0.10-tools 0.10.32-4 -> 0.10.32-6
 [UPGRADE] gstreamer0.10-x 0.10.30-1 -> 0.10.32-2
