Package: acpi Version: 1.5-2 Severity: normal Tags: squeeze The PC would shutdown saying "Critical temperature reached (128 C)" when doing CPU intensive work. The fans were not turning on at all.
The installer should create the file /etc/modprobe.d/thinkpad_acpi.conf and added options thinkpad_acpi fan_control=1 to it.
