I tried that even with no luck. I started even more querries in parallel:

| pdnsd control thread is running.
| tcp server thread is running.
| udp server thread is running.
| 32507 query threads spawned in total (0 queries dropped).
| 27 running query threads (10 active, 17 queued).

Any hint how I could repdoduce this :) ?

I guess you have resolvconf installed. Is it possible for you to execute
pdns-ctl status while pdns is hanging?
