It appears that the messages about failed reads from /dev/random and /dev/urandom (reported in lvm2 and postfix thus far) are merely advisory -- the packages actually go ahead and install successfully, and "debirf make" should be able to complete.
in the reports that have shown errors thus far appear to have been failing due to other reasons, and the warnings about /dev/random and /dev/urandom were unrelated to the final failures. This isn't to say that we should ignore the situation -- it's probably worth making sure that /dev/random and /dev/urandom actually work right during package installation. --dkg
