Package: varnish Version: 2.1.5-2 Severity: important
Starting HTTP accelerator: varnishd failed! invoke-rc.d: initscript varnish, action "start" failed. dpkg: error processing varnish (--configure): subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 configured to not write apport reports However I was able to stop and start varnish just fine via /etc/init.d/varnish {stop, start} I ended up commenting out everything in configure) section of varnish.postinst, stopping varnish then running dpkg --configure. Although I am certain this actually reproduce the issue. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.33.2 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages varnish depends on: ii adduser 3.112+nmu2 add and remove users and groups ii gcc 4:4.5.2-2 The GNU C compiler ii libc6 2.11.2-13 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libc6-dev [libc-dev] 2.11.2-13 Embedded GNU C Library: Developmen ii libncurses5 5.8+20110307-1 shared libraries for terminal hand ii libvarnish1 2.1.5-2 shared libraries for Varnish varnish recommends no packages. varnish suggests no packages. -- Configuration Files: /etc/default/varnish changed: START=yes NFILES=131072 MEMLOCK=82000 INSTANCE=$(uname -n) DAEMON_OPTS="-a :80 \ -T localhost:6082 \ -f /etc/varnish/default.vcl \ -S /etc/varnish/secret \ -s file,/var/lib/varnish/$INSTANCE/varnish_storage.bin,1G" /etc/default/varnishlog changed: VARNISHLOG_ENABLED=1 -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
