i just tried it out, the bug is still there in 6.0 stable here's what i did:
1: boot debian-live-6.0.0-i386-kde-desktop (last time it damaged my install, so live cd this time) 2: watch tail messages 3: suspend to ram 4: resume 5: create >2gb file in gimp (my idea of filling up ram) 6: see the following messages appear (system is now unresponsive, i made an analogue screenshot, i have no idea whether there is valuable information here): Message from syslogd@localhost at Mar 19 16:33:29 ... kernel:[ 496.263254] Oops: 0002 [#1] Message from syslogd@localhost at Mar 19 16:33:29 ... kernel:[ 496.263257] last sysfs file: /sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1f.1/host0/target0:0:1/0:0:1:0/block/sr0/removable Message from syslogd@localhost at Mar 19 16:33:29 ... kernel:[ 496.263363] Process gimp-2.6 (pid: 3971, ti=f6b80000 task=ef538000 task.ti=f6b80000) Message from syslogd@localhost at Mar 19 16:33:29 ... kernel:[ 496.263365] Stack: Message from syslogd@localhost at Mar 19 16:33:29 ... kernel:[ 496.263388] Call Trace: Message from syslogd@localhost at Mar 19 16:33:29 ... kernel:[ 496.263433] Code: 04 01 00 00 00 66 83 7c 24 28 00 79 37 89 f5 31 db eb 2b ba 03 00 00 00 89 e8 e8 ee 73 fa ff b9 00 04 00 00 89 04 24 89 c7 31 c0 <f3> ab 8b 04 24 ba 03 00 00 00 43 83 c5 20 e8 20 72 fa ff 3b 5c Message from syslogd@localhost at Mar 19 16:33:29 ... kernel:[ 496.263467] EIP: [<c10715d9>] get_page_from_freelist+0x304/0x3a2 SS:ESP 0068:f6b81e70 Message from syslogd@localhost at Mar 19 16:33:29 ... kernel:[ 496.263473] CR2: 00000000f76f7000 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
